Nigerians want the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) to call Pastor Remi Tinubu to order for regularly insulting people she disagrees with.
Remi Tinubu, a senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, is the wife of the self-styled national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Her public utterances recently have pitted her against the public over what they call unguarded actions of the Senator.
They questioned her claim of being an ordained Pastor in RCCG, a prominent Pentecostal Church in Nigeria.
They questioned the process which led to her being ordained a pastor while her actions in the public run against here profession of faith and public decorum.
Emma Umeh, a social media user asked if the church knows that she doing its image more harm than good.
“What procedure did Redeem Christian church of Christ put in place, before making Remi Tinubu a pastor? This woman is a disgrace to the church, the body of Christ & her family at large. She has never made the news for the the right reasons. Always fighting with people. God forbid,” Umeh said on Twitter.
One said it is the duty of the church to call her to order as she is soiling the church’s name and image.
But another user said the church has nothing to with her and that people should be left alone.
On Thursday, the Tinubu was seen in a video fighting dirty and calling a woman a thug. She refused to apologize.
Among those she has insulted are; Senators Dino Melaye whom she called thug, Elisha Abbo a child and Smart Adeyemi, a wolf in sheep clothing and Elisha
