Senior Pastor of House on the Rock church, Paul Adefarasin, on Monday announced the death of his mother, Hilda Adefarasin.
According to a statement released on Monday by the clergyman on Instagram, Mrs Adefarasin died on Sunday at the age of 98.
Part of the statement read, “As announced by the head of the family: J A Adefarasin III. We thank the Almighty God for the life of our mother, Mrs. Hilda Joanne Adefarasin (nee Petgrave), who passed unto glory peacefully in her home, on the evening of Sunday the 5th of February 2023, at the age of 98 years.
“She is survived by children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.”

The cleric urged the public to pray for his family and also allow them grieve privately as they plan for her funeral.
Adefarasin lost his father, Justice Joseph Adefarasin, a former Chief Judge of Lagos State, in 1989.
His mother’s death comes weeks after he celebrated his 60th birthday.
