Oshiomhole also dismissed Atiku’s fuel subsidy restoration plan, arguing that he is only playing to the gallery.

Former Edo State governor and Senator representing the northern district of the state, Adams Oshiomhole, has described the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, as a “serial loser”.
He stated this on Thursday during an appearance as a guest on Channels Television’s programme Politics Today.
According to Oshiomhole, he is not afraid of Atiku, who has contested for the presidency several times and lost each time, adding that 2027 will be no different.
He went on to say that the former Vice-President had no record of victory to threaten the incumbent President and flagbearer of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu.
He further noted that Atiku lost in 2007, 2011, 2019, and 2023, and even left the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to join the African Democratic Congress (ADC) after losing out in the party.

Speaking during the interview, Oshiomhole said: “Atiku is a serial loser. I am not afraid of him.”
The lawmaker also said the recent court judgment that nullified the David Mark-led leadership of the ADC and voided the process that produced Atiku as the party’s presidential candidate for 2027 was further proof that Atiku’s ambition is built on a shaky foundation.
He said the APC is not worried about Atiku’s move to the African Democratic Congress (ADC), or his reported plan to join forces with Peter Obi.
Oshiomhole said Atiku and Obi contested separately in 2023 and still lost to Tinubu, and joining forces in 2027 will not change the outcome.
He also dismissed Atiku’s promise to restore the fuel subsidy if elected, saying the former vice-president is only playing to the gallery.
