Ondo State Governor, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has assured that the state will mobilise massive votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election in 2027, saying his administration’s developmental strides would provide the needed leverage for the All Progressives Congress (APC) to secure victory.

The delegation, led by the state coordinators of the movement, Oluwafemi Ayejusunle and Tomide Akinribido, visited the governor to brief him on the group’s activities, organisational structure and grassroots mobilisation efforts ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The group also sought the support of the governor and collaboration with the state government in carrying out its activities across the state.

Responding, Aiyedatiwa commended the City Boy Movement for its commitment to the ideals of the APC and its advocacy for Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

The governor said his administration had already declared its commitment to the President’s re-election through the “Ondo for Tinubu 2027” campaign, stressing that the entire machinery of government would be deployed to support the realisation of the objective.

He maintained that the impact of his administration’s programmes in infrastructure, job creation, youth employment and empowerment would help convince voters to support the President in 2027.

“Our people are seeing and feeling the impact of good governance. From road projects to health, education and empowerment, we are building a foundation that makes it easy to sell the Renewed Hope message in Ondo State,” Aiyedatiwa said.

He added that every intervention of his administration that positively affects the people would ultimately translate into political support for Tinubu.

“Every action we take that impacts the people positively is a vote for the President. Every one of the 6,000 jobs we have created is a vote for the President.

“Every road we build attracts votes for the President. Every political appointment we make has multiplier effects that translate to more votes for the President,” he said.

According to him, the policies and programmes of his administration are aligned with the vision of the Tinubu administration, arguing that the people of the state would reward the President with their votes based on the benefits of good governance.

“The President’s vision aligns with what we are doing here, and our people will reward that with their votes in 2027,” the governor said.

Aiyedatiwa further assured the City Boy Movement and other pro-Tinubu groups in the state of his administration’s backing, saying all support groups working towards the President’s re-election would be carried along.

He said the government would provide the necessary support to enable the groups intensify their mobilisation and grassroots engagement ahead of the election.

Earlier, Ayejusunle thanked the governor for what he described as exemplary leadership and for aligning Ondo State with the progressive agenda of the Tinubu administration.

He said the City Boy Movement had been expanding its grassroots structure and would intensify sensitisation and mobilisation across the state to secure victory for Tinubu and the APC in 2027.
