The Democratic Networks for Aketi has described as round peg in a round hole, the appointment of Rear Admiral Samuel Ilesanmi Alade (Rtd) into the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Campaign Council for the forthcoming October 10 Governorship election in Ondo State
The group said Alade who is the Convener of Democratic Networks for Aketi deserved the appointment following various programmes he has put in place to ensure that Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN is re-elected for second term in office.
In a statement signed by the group’s Media Consultant, Hon. Julius Alabi, it said the Committee would find Alade useful because he is a grossroot mobilizer.
His words: “We are deeply convinced that Rear Admiral Alade Rtd is taking up this noble responsibility, having been well equipped with decades of rich experience as a grassroots mobilizer and also an administrator to the core.
“We also have confidence that the blend of his knowledge will be a sure plus in the discharge of the committee’s responsibilities.” the group said.
The group emphasized that owing to his past position, Alade has shown to be patriotic, and has consistently been committed to national unity and development.
“While believing that he will continue to work progressively with other members of the Committee towards re-election of Governor Akeredolu, we make bold to say that the Rear Admiral Alade (Rtd) is a round peg in a round hole.” the statement said.
