Omotola celebrates husband, Capt Ekeinde at 55

Popular Nigerian actress, singer, and former model Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has left fans gushing after taking to social media to share a cute picture of herself and her husband, Captain Matthew Ekeinde, as he celebrates his birthday. 

The veteran thespian also seized the opportunity to pen a sweet message to the father of her kids on their 27th wedding anniversary, which coincided with his 55th birthday.

Omotola in the post told the pilot that there is no need to make babies in the marriage again, since their last child is now 21. 

Taking to her Instagram page she wrote: “Happy birthday my Forever HoneyBoy… And… Happy Anniversary to us. 27 years and we only just about to get into phase 2! Last kiddo now 21… no more PG …. Ready Love? :hearts: U Endlessly,”

After the post made the rounds on social media, fellow celebrities, fans and other Nigerians trooped to her comment section to congratulate her and her husband. 

Big Brother Naija star, Dorathy Bachor wrote: “Awww it’s the ink for me, beautiful. Happy birthday sir and Happy Anniversary ❤️.”

Fellow Nollywood actress, Moyo Lawal also said: “Aaaw he has a tattoo of you .” 

An IG user identified as nwalady4christ wrote: “Happy birthday Captain ‍✈️ and Happy Anniversary beautiful family more years to go.” 

Another internet user, _mummys.gurl also said: “Happy anniversary my and people keep saying marriage is a scam, pick your scam and grow together I tap into this testimony Happy birthday sir.”

While tolaodunsi wrote: “Happy birthday Captain and happy anniversary #morelife #moreblessings.”

Omotola married Captain Matthew Ekeinde in 1996. In 2001, the couple held a white ceremony on board a Dash 7 aircraft while flying from Lagos to Benin, with close family and friends present.

Their union is blessed with four children: Princess, M.J, Meraiah and Michael.
