Okocha urges Osimhen to switch from Serie A to EPL

Okocha, speaking on where Osinhen is likely to ply his trade next season, said the Nigerian seems to have decided on playing in the EPL

Former Super Eagles and PSG midfielder, Austin ‘Jay Jay’ Okocha has urged his compatriot and Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen, to switch from Serie A to the English Premier League (EPL) this summer.

He gave the advice while speaking on British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), saying playing in the Premier League is ideal for Osimhen, as it is every player’s dream.

Reports from England have suggested that PL clubs, Chelsea and Manchester United are currently eyeing the Napoli player and want his services in the summer. 

Osimhen also hinted at his desire to leave Serie A. In a recent video on Sky Sports, he expressed his desire to play in the English league. 

He said: “I’m working so hard to make sure that I achieve my dream of playing in the Premier League one day.”

Okocha, speaking on where Osimhen is likely to ply his trade next season, said the Nigerian seems to have decided on playing in the Premier League.

He said: “Well I mean he’s done well, he’s having a great season.

“And I think he duly deserves the praise he’s getting, but the ultimate for him is to play in the Premier League which he has made clear as well,” 

Osimhen has scored 21 goals in 23 league appearances for Napoli this season.
