Oge Sings joins the gospel music arena with “Inspired to Sing”
Ogechi Charity, a resident of Abuja, has taken the Nigerian gospel arena by storm with her debut, “Inspired to sing.” “Jesus is not far.”
The mother of three, whose music seems to be making waves, explained that she took to gospel music due to her life experiences and the mercy of God.
“My motivations are through my life’s experiences of God’s mercies that brought deliverance from sickness, life threatening accidents and challenges of life and the sense of redeeming the second chance of life given to me by God,” she said.
According to her, she has be singing from childhood, without giving it a real thought that she would grow to continue as a gospel singer.
She said, “I grew up to find myself singing all the time. My late Uncle, Da Cele heard me sing for almost eight hours non-stop and nicknamed me “Ingoreal,” until now, I can’t explain it. Maybe, he was referring to Florence Nightingale, the English social reformer, statistician and founder of modern nursing.
Explaining her gratitude to God for giving her the fortitude to persevere through life’s experiences and the need for the young ones to always cling to God, Charity enthused, “No matter what Generation we belong to, someone brought us here and we must acknowledge Him for He alone knows the plans He has for us, so if we must be fulfilled and accomplish purpose, we must identify with Him.”
She also explained that she has already written over 40 songs and still counting. Some other of her songs include; Omega, tested by fire, Chibueze, Are you still breathing? A new song, etc.
