Oborevwori’s aide, Ossai Ovie, dispels ex-Delta governor Uduaghan’s death rumour

​Ossai Ovie, a media aide to Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has dispelled the death rumour of a former governor of the state, Emmanuel Uduaghan.

​He refuted the claim in a recent statement he titled: “Former Governor Uduaghan is alive – death rumour false”.

​According to Ovie, several netizens had urged him to clarify the report after it circulated on various social media platforms.

​He added that he later spoke with the ex-governor’s daughter, Orode Uduaghan, who confirmed that her father is alive.

​While addressing the topic, he wrote: “I have just seen reports circulating online claiming that the former Governor of Delta State, Dr Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan, is dead. Some people have been reaching out to me asking, ‘Ossai Ovie Success, is the news real?’

​“I immediately reached out to his family to confirm. I spoke directly with his daughter, Orode Uduaghan, on the phone, and she confirmed that the news is false.

​“Dr Uduaghan is alive. I am disappointed at those who spread such false information without verification.”

​The governor’s aide further urged the public to disregard the rumour and avoid sharing unverified information.
