A popular Nollywood actress, Hilda Dokubo, has suggested to the Nigerian government to redeploy the disbanded Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) to Sambisa forest to fight the Boko Haram.

She also called for their mental evaluation, stressing that the entire police force was completely messed up.

“We are sick and tired of renaming and rebranding of this group that had turned Nigerians into victims of extortion and harassment.”

The actress, who is currently protesting with #EndSARS campaigners along the Lekki corridor in Lagos since early hours of Monday, said that  Nigerians were sick and tired of attempted audio disbandment of SARS and can no longer accept it. We want to see it happen. Nine times they have changed their names and nothing came out of it.”

She claimed that her industry had suffered embarrassing moments in the hand of SARS members, insisting that their mental value should be ascertained before redeloying them to other units.

“Are these people armed robbers or SARS? In my industry (Nollywood) we carry laptops, good phones, dress good and you brand us yahoo boys, extort and harass us”.

Dukubo said that SARS must be scraped completely.

Character change is long overdue, she said.

On why the good ones in the force must suffer, she said, “We must throw away the baby and birth water because we are no longer familiar with both.”

The Nollywood actress said that Nigeria has to reform its Police Force where every citizen’s rights must be respected and protected.

The #EndSARS protesters said that president Muhammadu Buhari should address the nation on the SARS issue and not send the IGP.

“We elected him, not the IGP,” she said.

Recall that #EndSARS campaigners are also protesting in Lekki, Ojuelegba and Airport road in Lagos simultaneously.
