Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chairman in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Yinusa Suleiman, has lashed out at critics, touting his administration as the best in the history of the party in the FCT.

He said those peddling the rumour of a rift should be ignored because their aim was to rubbish the integrity of the party ahead of the elections in 2015.
“This administration is poised to win all the local area council elections. It was the opposition all the way until 2011 when we put in a superior political ideology,” Suleiman stated.
On charges of ethnic bias, he maintained that both state executive and working committees comprise people of different ethnic groups.
“I know that public office holders are to be criticised but that will not deter us from carrying out our duties.
“Those who are perpetrating the evil are not members of this great party, they are mercenaries, sent by other parties to checkmate our plan for 2015.
“Some people are in the party to put asunder what we are building, that is why they can talk to press men without minding the constitution of the party.
“They are not members of our party, they do not know what the constitution stipulates.”
Suleiman cautioned state PDP chapters not to start campaign because the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is yet to give the green light.
He explained that insecurity is one of the reasons for not organising rallies. “The minister of the FCT must be consulted before anything. I must take permission from him and the police commissioner, so it is never easy to hold rallies in Abuja.
“We know that parties cannot hold State Executive Council (SEC) meeting more than three times a year but some people come around here thinking that we share money to everyone that comes around.
“I always tell them that the job of state and national officers is never a permanent one, and that some of us have other things we do to survive. So please help me to tell them that we cannot hold SWC meeting every day to satisfy their quest.”
Reacting to the allegation of reckless spending, Suleiman said the FCT chapter does not have “moneybags” and its major source of funding is “through membership dues, so with this small contribution, how can someone accuse us of even spending recklessly?”
