Nine countries book places at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar

Nine countries have now qualified for the 2022 World Cup, Spain, Serbia, and Croatia, joined six others to take the list to nine

Six countries qualified for the 2022 World Cup billed to hold in Qatar as of Saturday, November 13, 2021, as reported by Daily Post.

The list has now gone to nine countries by the end of proceedings on Sunday, November 1, 2021, with Spain, Serbia, and Croatia also booking their places at the soccer fiesta. 

Qatar qualified first because they have an automatic spot in the tournament being the host.

Germany, Denmark, and Brazil booked their tickets on October 11, October 12, and November 11 respectively for the first-ever FIFA World Cup in the Middle East.

France and Belgium also booked their places at the tournament on Saturday after beating Kazakhstan and Estonia respectively. France defeated Kazakhstan 8-0, while Belgium won 3-1 against Estonia.

Spain joined the list after narrowly defeating Sweden 1-0, Serbia shocked Portugal with a 1-0 win to qualify, while Croatia won Russia 1-0 to qualify ahead of them with just a point 

African countries will move to the playoff rounds after the round 6 group fixtures of their World Cup qualifiers are concluded this week. 

Nigeria will be hoping to beat the Blue Sharks of Cape Verde to boost their hope of joining the nine countries that have qualified when they meet on Tuesday, November 16 in Lagos.

The FIFA 2022 World Cup qualifiers began in June 2019 and are expected to finish in June 2022
