Nine players from Arsenal and Real Madrid are facing possible suspension ahead of Wednesday’s UEFA Champions League (UCL) quarter-final second leg clash at the Bernabeu.

Arsenal’s quartet of Jurrien Timber, Declan Rice, Thomas Partey and Gabriel Martinelli risk not playing the first leg of a potential semi-final clash if any of them pick up a yellow card in Spain.

For Real Madrid, five members of their squad are also walking the same disciplinary tightrope.

Vinicius Junior, Luka Modric, Antonio Rudiger, Endrick and Lucas Vazquez would be banned if they pick up a booking.

Madrid manager, Carlo Ancelotti, is also a yellow card away from a touchline ban.

However, the yellow cards slate will be wiped clean after the quarter-final stages.

Arsenal lead the tie 3-0 from the first leg at the Emirates and will be looking to progress into the final four.

But the team with the best aggregate scoreline after the two legs will progress to semi-final and play Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) who edged out Aston Villa on Tuesday night.
