A brief interaction between Grammy-winning Afrobeats star Damini Ogulu, better known as Burna Boy, and controversial Onitsha-based cleric Chukwuemeka Odumeje, aka Indaboski, at a party hosted by Nigerian billionaire businessman and CEO of Jezco Oil and Lubricants, Joseph Ezeokafor Jr, better known as Jowizaza, has caused a buzz online.
In the video, which made the rounds on X on Monday, 12 October, the ‘Last Last’ hitmaker was seen making his way over to the cleric, as they shared hugs and engaged in conversation.
Burna Boy, during the exchange, was openly smoking what some netizens who reacted to the video labelled “Igbo”, otherwise known as weed, despite the fact that cameras were fixed on him.
Odumeje, on the other hand—who is the founder of the Mountain of Holy Ghost Intervention Deliverance Ministry in Onitsha, a firebrand preacher widely recognised for his dramatic style, and known by self-styled titles including “Indaboski Bahose” and “Liquid Metal”—seemed unbothered by the singer’s actions.
The contrast between the musician’s behaviour and the decision of the pastor to ignore his smoking habit sparked a wave of amused commentary across social media platforms.

While some hailed the singer for his bravery and staying true to himself, a few others wondered how a pastor gave an audience to someone smoking weed.
Reacting, a netizen identified as @EZEH_EMY wrote: “Big man celebrating big man… may we be big.”
@justdaare said: “Na billionaires settings u go always see this one 😂❤️”
Another internet user, @NnajiubaF, hailed Burna Boy, saying: “I like him personality sometimes 😂, once he’s cool with you, you go see him happy and playful side❤️ Baba no dey fear anybody 😤 Na why I like am.”
@Yung_maxter added: “Burna no care oo”
However, @sam_kay200, who found the moment awkward, said: “Wetin pastor dey do for this settings 😂”
Sharing similar sentiments, @AlomeGift1 wrote: “Burna Boy was seen smoking next to the man of God’s Indaboski 😂😂 Burna na something else.”
