Super Eagles’ first choice goalkeeper at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), Stanley Nwabali was back in training on Tuesday night.

The Chippa United goalie made a remarkable recovery, after sustaining a mild ligament injury in Nigeria’s 2-0 victory over harsh rivals, the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon in the last 16 encounter on Saturday.

Prior to this, Nwabali, trained separately on Monday as the Super Eagles started preparations for their quarter-final clash against one of AFCON’s dark horses, Angola.
