Nigeria and Cameroun have signed agreement on trade cooperation and conservation of the Benue River.
This is the outcome of the bilateral talks between President Muhammadu Buhari and Paul Biya of Cameroun, who is on a state visit to Nigeria. Other areas covered in the bilateral talks include security, agriculture and immigration.
The visiting Camerounian president is in Nigeria at the invitation of President Muhammadu Buhari.
Both countries also have military agreements – the Multi National Joint Task Force (MNJTF) – that is aimed at ending the free movement of Boko Haram terrorists along their borders.
