Federal lawmaker representing the Delta North Senatorial District, Ned Nwoko, has insisted that his actress wife, Regina Daniels, must go for rehabilitation to tackle her drug addiction.
He made this known on Sunday during an interaction with newsmen, stressing that he needs the thespian alive and healthy.
According to the senator, his resolution is born out of the necessity for the 25-year-old mother of two to be in the right state of mind to raise her kids.
He added that a series of toxicology reports indicated alarmingly high levels of harmful substances in her system.
He further noted that his wife’s calm personality had changed in recent months, as she began exhibiting violent and destructive behaviour, alongside recurring health crises.
Speaking during the press briefing, Nwoko said, “I want her alive and healthy, not just for me, but for our children.
“We have two young kids together, and they cannot fight for themselves, so I’m going to fight for them by safeguarding their mother.”
“Many people have died of drug overdose, and if anything happens to her now, what will I tell her children tomorrow,” the legislator asked.
