Pundit and former Manchester City defender, Micah Richards, has said Arsenal’s decision to sign Swedish striker, Viktor Gyokeres is a good one despite skepticism about his ability to replicate his form in the Portuguese league in England.
He made this known while featuring on the latest episode of ‘The Rest Is Football’ podcast.
According to him, after watching a lot of Gyokeres’ videos online, he noticed that the forward is a clever player who is good with his movement.
He went on to urge Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta to replace Gunners winger, Gabriel Martinelli with Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze.

While assessing the north London outfits’ summer transfer business so far, Richards said: “How many times have we said Arsenal need a new striker? We said it every week last season.
“They’ve needed one for a while now and I still believe they need a left winger as well. They’ve been linked with [Eberechi] Eze haven’t they.
“I think [Gabriel] Martinelli can definitely do a job but he’s more of an impact player, great to have off the bench, so if they could get Eze that would be amazing.
“In terms of Gyokeres, I think it’s a very good signing but I still think there are question marks if he can do it at this level consistently.
“I’ve watched loads of videos of him and I think he’s really good with his movement, he’s a really clever striker.
“He’ll cause teams problems though and he’s exactly what Arsenal needed, for sure.”
Arsenal recently signed Gyokeres from Portuguese club, Sporting CP for £64m.
