Argentina captain, Lionel Messi, has praised the players of his country’s U-20 team after they booked their spot in the final of the ongoing FIFA U-20 World Cup in Chile.
He congratulated the team on Friday via a now viral post he shared on his official Instagram page.
The Argentina U-20 team will tackle African representative, Morocco, in the final of the tournament on Sunday, October 19.
They defeated a 10-man Colombian team 1-0 in one of the two semi-finals earlier in the week.

A second-half goal from Mateo Silvetti ensured Argentina qualified and set up a final against Morocco, who defeated France in the other semi-final clash via a penalty shoot-out.
Reacting to the victory, Messi appreciated the team for their efforts and for reaching the final.
He also hailed his Inter Miami teammate, Mateo Silvetti, for scoring the decisive goal of the encounter.
Speaking via his verified social media handle, Messi wrote, “Let’s go to the finals! Congratulations to everyone! Great @toto.silvetti.”
Argentina are the most successful nation in the history of the FIFA U-20 World Cup, having lifted the trophy a record six times.
