Mbaise People’s Congress set for 2026 colloquium on education and strategic dvancement
The Mbaise People’s Congress will hold its annual Mbaise Colloquium on Friday, August 14, 2026, with a focus on education as a driver of development for the Mbaise people and Nigeria at large.
The event, with the theme “Mbaise Strategic Advancement,” will hold at Eziala Hall, Eziala Road, Eke Nguru, Mbaise, by 11:00am.
This year’s topic is “Education As The Bedrock For The Development Of A People, A Society And A Nation: THE CASE OF THE UNIVERSITY OF MBAISE.”
Guest Speaker for the event is Prof. Anthony Kila, Director General, Centre for International Advanced Professional Studies (CIAPS), Lagos.
Chief Barr. Success Obioma Akagburuonye of Akaraugo Ndi Igbo will serve as Chairman of the Occasion, while Dr. Patrick C. Korie will be the discussant.
The Special Guest of Honour is Hon. Attorney Matthew Nwogu, Member representing Ahiazu Mbaise/Ngor Okpala Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.
Chief Patricia Ozioma Standioka, MD, Mehe Chizzya Pat. Ltd, Abuja, is the Special Guest of Honor.
Royal Fathers of the Day are HRH Eze Mike Oriji, Chairman, Mbaise Council of Traditional Rulers, and HRM Dr. Patrick Chinedu Acholonu, Igwe XII of Orlu.
Surv. Joe Anosike, President General of Ezuruezu Mbaise, is the Chief Host.
Organizers said the colloquium is part of MPC’s efforts “Towards a Greater Mbaise” through dialogue, policy engagement and community-driven development initiatives.
