Reports reaching TheNiche indicate that men of the Nigerian Army, together with other security agents which included the police, are now all over the streets of Kaduna State apparently to forstall the protest initiated by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) against the decision of the state government to sack workers.
The NLC had taken the decision to embark on the protest consequent upon the massive sack of thousands of workers by the state government.
TheNiche gathered that the state government under the leadership of Governor Nasir el-rufai, had laid off several workers as part of its reform of public service to make it more efficient and professional.
