LP Chair Abure reiterates trust in judiciary, confident of justice at PEPC

Labour Party (LP) National Chairman Julius Abure has affirmed the party’s faith in the judiciary to deliver justice at the Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC) amid speculations and doubt from some quarters.
He stressed the point at the inauguration of LP Local Government Caretaker Committees in Lagos and the unveiling of the party’s 2023 flagship projects.
Abure commended Lagosians for rising above tribalism for a new Nigeria by voting massively for the LP at general election in February and March.
He accused the All Progressive Congress (APC) of stealing the mandate freely given to LP by Nigerians without an idea of how to govern.
“APC has murdered sleep, they will sleep no more until they return the mandate they stole from us. They stole our mandate but they don’t know what to do with it. They don’t have an idea how to govern, that is why they are inflicting hardship on Nigerians,” Abure said.
“Only Peter Obi and the LP have the solutions to the numerous challenges the ruling party has plunged the country into.
“We are ready to provide leadership and we will show Nigerians that we can provide a better alternative. The journey for a new Nigeria has just started, and we trust the judiciary to do the right thing.”

LP members to collaborate to achieve set objectives
Abure appealed to aggrieved LP members to shield their swords and work with the state executive in the interest of the party, reiterated the participation of the LP in the general election has changed Nigeria’s political landscape, per Vanguard.
Lagos LP Chairman Dayo Ekong advised the new council and ward executives to see their oath of office as a solemn pledge to uplift the party and serve the people.
She urged them to strive for excellence in their efforts and commitment to press on with change, saying everyone would benefit from a new Nigeria that soon to be birthed by the LP.
She also stressed the importance of collaboration to enable them achieve the party’s objectives.
