Premier League giants Liverpool are closing in on the signing of France forward Bradley Barcola after agreeing a fee that could rise to £120m with Paris Saint-Germain.
This was revealed on Thursday by football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano in a now-viral post shared on his official X page.
Barcola, whom PSG had valued at £145m, is one of Liverpool’s main targets following the departures of Luis Díaz and Mohamed Salah in the past two summers.
Updating football fans on the deal for the 23-year-old, Romano said both sides have agreed to a package that will be worth a minimum of £100m and can rise to £120m based on significant individual and team success.
Taking to his verified handle, the Italian journalist wrote: “BREAKING: Liverpool reach verbal agreement to sign Bradley Barcola, HERE WE GO! 🔴
”Initial fee worth £100m plus add-ons — up to €140m (£120m) possible total package for PSG.
”Documents to be exchanged in 24 hours.
”#LFC get their top target: never in doubt and now done.”
Barcola is right-footed but prefers to play on the left wing, and his likely arrival adds further doubt around Cody Gakpo’s future at Anfield.
Meanwhile, reports emanating from England reveal that both Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City are interested in securing the services of the Netherlands forward.
