The Red Devils welcome the Foxes after the international break in what is a must win game for the home side, as they are currently 4 points behind Arsenal in 4th having played a game more.

They therefore can’t afford to drop many more points if they are to catch up with Arsenal and Spurs who are in front of them in the race for Champions League places.

Ralf Rangnick’s side who currently sit in the sixth position, will, however, be happy they are facing Leicester City without two of their key players.

Rodgers while talking to ManUtd.com Confirmed that the two players will not be available while providing an update on his team.

“We’ll see really. We just work day by day really. He’s [Vardy] certainly not fit for the weekend but we’ll assess it over the next week or two weeks.”

The manager also said Ndidi had an operation on the knee he injured during the Leicesters’ Europa Conference League (ECL)loss to Rennes, adding that he will be replaced by Nampalys Mendy for the rest of the season.

“He has had surgery and will be looking to get back in June,” Rodgers added. “Papy Mendy has come in, we thought we was leaving last summer but he has come back in and he’s always been professional.”
