Former Arsenal goalkeeper Jens Lehmann has advised the current Gunners shot-stopper, David Raya, to avoid being sent off against Paris Saint-Germain in Saturday’s UEFA Champions League (UCL) final.
Lehmann offered the advice on Sunday while congratulating the Spanish international and his teammates on finally lifting the Premier League trophy after 22 years.
The German keeper famously received his marching orders the first time Arsenal reached the elite European final in 2006, where they ultimately lost 2-1 to Barcelona.
Although Sol Campbell gave 10-man Arsenal the lead, late goals from Samuel Eto’o and Juliano Belletti ensured the La Liga side took the trophy.

Raya is set to start in goal for Mikel Arteta’s side as the North London outfit seek to win the prestigious competition for the first time in their history.
Speaking to Raya ahead of the UCL final, Lehmann urged him not to repeat the mistake he made two decades ago, adding that European glory would mean achieving what his own ‘Invincibles’ generation could not quite accomplish.
The former German international said, “Do us a favour and play 90 minutes, do not get sent off!
“If you win it, you are giving something back to the fans which we couldn’t. I didn’t deliver because I got sent off.”
