Nollywood actor and filmmaker Lateef Adedimeji and his wife, fellow thespian Adebimpe Oyebade, have disavowed a viral photo of triplets circulating on social media.

The celebrity couple disowned the images on Friday in separate posts via their official X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram pages.

The development comes a week after Adedimeji announced the arrival of their triplets after five years of marriage.

He stated: “I’ve been quiet… not absent. I was building, protecting, and embracing the greatest blessing of my life. God gave me more than I prayed for: a woman who became a mother of three, and three kings to call my own. @etawithlove. My world. My responsibility. My legacy. Alhamdulilah!”

However, shortly after the naming ceremony on Thursday, pictures of the couple carrying triplets surfaced on various social media platforms.

Reacting to the circulated photos via her Instagram handle, Bimpe Oyebade labelled the viral images as AI-generated, noting: “All the baby pictures flying around aren’t our babies, please.”

She further promised to share authentic photos of her children at the appropriate time, adding: “We’ll share @etawithlove pictures soon.”

Wading into the matter, her husband also distanced himself from the photos and thanked the public for their love and support.

Writing on X, he said: “Please note that the AI-generated baby photos circulating right now are not ours. Thank you for understanding.”
