As the country prepares for the 2023 general elections, political activities have intensified as political parties began sale of nomination and expression of interest forms and screening of aspirants seeking one position or the other.
Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State on Tuesday, April 26 became the first presidential aspirant under the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, to purchase the expression of interest and nomination forms. And on Thursday, April 28, he presented the form to President Muhammadu Buhari for blessing.

On Wednesday, April 27, former governor of Ogun State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun declared his interest to run for the presidency of the country.
Likewise, the Minister of State for Education, Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba purchased the presidential form of APC.
On Friday, April 29, former governor of Imo State, Senator Rochas Okorocha purchase the expression of interest and nomination forms.
Likewise, former governor of Lagos State, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu and incumbent Governor of the State, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu purchased their expression of interest and nomination forms for presidency and governorship respectively.
