Lagos Senator, Adebayo Osinowo, dies at 64

The Senator representing Lagos East, Adebayo Osinowo, popularly known as Pepper is dead. He was aged 64 years.

Osinowo who studied Building Technology at the lnstituto per Geometri, Rome, Italy, and obtained his Master’s degree at Urbaniana University, also in Rome, where he specialised in building technology, started his career as a Land Officer at the Federal Ministry of Works. He then became the Managing Director at NITAL International before moving over to NIMCO International Co. Ltd in the same capacity.

Osinowo began his political life in the Second Republic serving as a youth chairman of the Social Democratic Party (SDP).

Osinowo was a four-time member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, representing Kosofe.

He was elected Senator in the February 23, 2019 election and subsequently appointed Chairman, Senate Committee on Industries.

Though the cause of his death has not been made public, TheNiche gathered that it may be COVID-19 related.
