A Nigerian lady who failed the General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) exams abroad has been rewarded by her parents with a holiday trip to Nigeria.
The young lady who seemed not to have deemed the gesture as a punitive one, later took to social media to express her excitement at spending time in Nigeria for the first time.
Sharing a TikTok video capturing her flight journey to the largest West African country, the excited lady said it was her mum who blessed her with the trip after she failed her exams.
She cautioned the video she posted, “Failed my GCSEs but my mum blessed me with a holiday to naij,”

Nigerians who commented on her post, however, didn’t share in her excitement, as they viewed it more as a punishment for failing her exam rather than a reward.
Many of the netizens went as far as concluding that the so called holiday was a Greek gist and a ploy by her parents to dump her in Nigeria for good and that she may never return abroad.
