Kwara police boss tasks new recruits on rule of law, human rights

Commissioner of Police in Kwara State, Adekimi Ojo, has charged 142 newly recruited constables to discharge their duties with respect for the rule of law and human rights.
He gave the charge when he received at the state command headquarters in Ilorin the constables who just passed out at the Police Training School in Ilorin.
The commissioner asked the constables to uphold integrity, discipline and professionalism.
He charged them to shun corrupt practices and work in line with best international standard procedures.
Ojo expressed deep appreciation to the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, for his exemplary leadership style which he said centres on proactive intelligence-led policing and strategic community engagements.
He thanked the IGP for providing a conducive environment for the training of the police constables.
The commissioner also commended the state governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, for his continued support to the state police command.
He disclosed that the governor had approved a two-week comprehensive intelligence operations programme for the new constables by AIG Fimihan Adeoye rtd, the C.E.O Fimihan Adeoye Security Consult.
He said upon completion of the training, the constables would be deployed to their respective local government areas in the state to further strengthen field operations and analytical capabilities.
