Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has relieved some members of his cabinet of their appointments, with less than a year remaining of his administration.
The decision was conveyed on Monday in a statement issued by the Governor’s Deputy Chief Press Secretary, Mashood Agboola.
According to him, the development was a minor cabinet reshuffle aimed at injecting fresh energy into the administration.
Agboola stated, “Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has approved a minor cabinet shake-up involving all Special Advisers, Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, and Special Assistants.”

Also affected are the Deputy Chief of Staff and the Principal Private Secretary to the Governor.
The statement further noted that the change was also effected to extend opportunities to more party members.
The Governor went on to express gratitude to all the appointees for their priceless service to the state and wished them the best in their future endeavours.
He also directed them to hand over all government property in their custody to the Office of the Secretary to the State Government.
