Kwankwaso also asserted that the APC’s 30 “governors can’t save Tinubu” as they have “performed woefully” in their respective states.

The vice-presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Rabiu Kwankwaso, has said all 30 state governors of the All Progressives Congress (APC) cannot guarantee President Bola Tinubu’s victory in 2027, noting that “Jonathan lost as a sitting president”.
The former Kano State governor made this known in Port Harcourt, the capital of Rivers State, on Thursday, whilst speaking at a town hall meeting.
According to Kwankwaso, the 30 state governors on the platform of the ruling party have performed woefully and, therefore, cannot deliver Tinubu.

He also said the majority of these governors are unable to face the electorate in their states because they have nothing to show or tell them.
He further argued that if former Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan could lose his re-election bid as a sitting president, Tinubu could suffer a similar fate.
Addressing participants at the event, Kwankwaso noted: “Jonathan was the sitting president, and he lost the election. Those who think that because they have more than 30 governors, they cannot lose are making a very big mistake.
“The trend is that those governors and their parties have performed woefully. It is difficult for many of them to even come out and campaign because, from top to bottom, they did absolutely nothing.”
