Marc Kosicke, the agent of former Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp, has insisted the German tactician is not interested in becoming the next Real Madrid manager.

He made this known recently during an interview with Sky Germany.

Kosicke’s rebuttal follows comments made by Spanish businessman Enrique Riquelme, who will be contesting against the incumbent, Florentino Pérez, in Madrid’s presidential elections this Sunday.

The 37-year-old vowed to appoint Klopp as manager of the La Liga giants if he defeats Pérez, having already promised to sign Manchester City duo Erling Haaland and Rodri.

He said in a statement: “If the members grant me their trust this Sunday, on Monday 8 June, Raúl González Blanco [Real Madrid’s sporting director] will contact Jürgen Klopp to convey to him personally our sporting project and our wish for him to be the one to lead, from the bench, our new era at Real Madrid.”

However, while responding to the proposition, Kosicke insisted that the German is not eager to coach a club again and is happy at Red Bull.

He said: “It’s annoying.

“He’s not planning to return to coaching a club and is happy at Red Bull.”

Klopp has not coached any team since he stepped down at Liverpool in the summer of 2024.
