Kizz Daniel lands in Qatar, fans express joy

Kizz Daniel had in a post on his Instagram page on Friday, November 11, said he would be performing at the World Cup in Qatar

Nigerian singer and songwriter Oluwatobiloba Anidugbe, better known as Kizz Daniel has sent the internet buzzing after sharing a post which revealed his current location.

The ‘Cough’ crooner, who is billed to perform at the Fan Festival in Qatar on Wednesday, November 23, shared pictures of him on Instagram in a Gucci outfit.  

Kizz Daniel, whose song ‘Buga’ took the world by storm, while sharing the pictures on social media inadvertently confirmed his location as Qatar.

He also captioned one of the pictures with a bird emoji, while also sharing another message he received, which was written in Arabic language.

After the posts found their way to the internet, his fans and followers trooped to the comment section to express their excitement ahead of his performance.

An IG user, alh_timi231 wrote, “Welcome to Qatar @kizzdaniel we are ready to party.” 

Another netizen, omons_glitz said, “Can’t wait to see you perform tomorrow @okoyomohjoy get ready.” 

Lizzyclothings_ added, “My baby in Qatar. See you there soon my baby” 

Another internet user, ugo_silv said, “Good luck, the world awaits your performance, sending love from London.” uwajessica254

While nonli_boi wrote, “No sleep no sleep wake up to the world❤️❤️.”

Meanwhile, football fans had thought Kizz Daniel would be performing at the opening ceremony of the World Cup in Qatar but he didn’t show up. 

Rather, it was the main vocalist of the Korean pop band BTS, Jung Kook, who lit up the Al Bayt Stadium during the event, and fans who thought the Nigerian singer would perform expressed their disappointment on social media.  

However, the ‘Buga’ singer who confirmed he would still be performing at the event, explained he was billed to perform on the 23rd of November and not the 20th, as speculated.
