Nigerian singer and songwriter. Daniel Anidugbe, better known as Kizz Daniel, has emerged as the most prolific act of the first quarter by Turntable Charts, this is as his song ‘Buga’ featuring Tekno debuts at No 1.
According to data from the platform, which could be described as the equivalent of the United States’ Billboard Charts in Nigeria, Kizz Daniel is the most productive artist in the first quarter of 2022.
The 29-year-old has, however, taken his latest achievement on the chin, saying he didn’t claim the top spot to impress people, rather he is out there making music whenever he feels like doing so.
He went on to say his last EP ‘Barnabas’ released towards the end of 2021, only made waves by accident because the songs he felt would become hit songs were held up in an album titled ‘Afro-Classic’.

Speaking with Turntable after his emergence as the most prolific act Kizz Daniel said:
“I just put out music when I feel good about it. And there’s no pressure because I’m not trying to impress anyone. If you have a body of work, you put it out.
“Barnabas is doing so well right now and it wasn’t particularly planned. I was supposed to drop an album, Afro-Classic. But there was some hold up with some international songs on the album.”
Since bursting onto the Nigerian music scene in 2014 after releasing his smashing hit song ‘Woju’, Kizz Daniel has moved from strength to strength.
In 2022, the blistering success ‘Barnabas‘ recorded, has kept the singer’s impressive run going, dominating charts across the country.
The song is an ever-present canon on the Apple Music charts, it also dominated the Audiomack and Boomplay charts respectively.
