The new hit single, which is undoubtedly one of the most popular songs in the country at the moment, recently earned the singer the title of the most prolific act of the first quarter on the Turntable Charts.

It is also currently the lead song on Apple Music’s Top 100 Chart in Nigeria, as well as one of the world’s top five afrobeat songs.

The 28-year-old musician in an interview with Punch admitted that though the word ‘Buga’ means to ‘show off’, in this context of his song, it was meant to extol the virtues of dedication and hard work.

According to Kiss Daniel, after one has put in the work, he or she should enjoy what comes with the success, noting that whatever results the song is generating, is a product of hard work.

In his words, “As long as people work hard to make legitimate money, they should be proud to flaunt their wealth.”

The ace singer further said, anytime any of his songs enjoy wide acceptance by the people, he is always encouraged to do more.

He said, “It is a great feeling when one puts out a masterpiece and the rest of the world accepts it as one. It is indeed a satisfying feeling right. And, such encourages me to do more.”

Daniel, who recently had a successful concert at the 02 Academy in Brixton, London, United Kingdom, had another memorable concert days later in Birmingham.
