Indigenes of Auga Community in Akoko North East Local Government Area of Ondo State are seeking for God’s intervention for the quick release of their monarch’s wife, Olori Olukemi Agunloye, and her driver, who were abducted on June 23.

The abductors demanded for N20 million ransom before the duo could be set free.

Apparently worried over the huge sum of money place on their monarch’s wife and the driver, the community on Monday June 25, organised a three-day fasting and prayer to seek the face of God in the release of the abductors.

The traditional ruler, Alauga of Auga Amoko, Oba Samuel Agunloye, while speaking with newsmen on the issue confirmed that the abductors contacted him through telephone to demand the ransom.

According to him, the community has been praying and fasting for the safe release of the Olori and the driver.

The Olubaka of Oka, Oba Yusuf Adeleye, and Akala of Ikaram, Oba Andrew Momoh, had expressed sympathy with the Alauga on behalf of Akoko traditional council.
