Kano contingents storm FCT for inter-secondary schools Volleyball, Basketball competition
Kano state boys and girls have arrived Abuja ahead of inter secondary schools basketball and volleyball competition.
The tournament which is organised with the support from Adolescent Girls Initiatives for leadership and empowerment (AGILE) is expected to commenced today Sunday in Abuja.
Apart from the two games, the organisers will also conducted debate, spelling, painting among others to the students.
Speaking ahead of the tournament, leader of delegation and also Assistant Director in Kano state ministry of education, Malam Musa Umar Minjibir charged his students to be good ambassadors throughout their stay in Abuja.
Malam Musa Umar Minjibir however, commended Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and the state commissioner of education Gwani Ali Haruna Makoda for their commitment and unflinching support, assuring that the state representatives would not disappoint the state at end of the championship.
In volleyball opening match for boys Kano will confront Borno and later play against Katsina while Borno will play Katsina.
In basketball girls category, Kano will lock horns with Ekiti while Kaduna will entertain Katsina at the same venue.
Boys category in Basketball, Kano will compete with Plateau while Ekiti takes on Plateau later in the day.
