He disclosed that seven persons appeared before the committee. Senator Magoro thanked the APC national leadership for the opportunity given the committee to serve the party.

He said: “Since the principal officers of the party in Kano were involved in the particular case, the committee decided to write to the Executive Governor of Kano State to intimate him of the committee’s assignment.

While receiving the report, APC National Vice Chairman (North West), Inuwa Abdul-Kadir, stated that the report was for the consideration of the appropriate party organ to take a decision.

“We are publicly receiving the report of the fact finding committee in exhibition of the cardinal principles of this party in respect of transparency and also promoting the rule of law. Our party is a progressive party and believes in fairness to all and sundry. Our party constitution requires that when we receive petitions and complaints from either an organ of the party at any level or from any member of the party in respect of leadership dispute, we are not required to even discuss it, we are only required as a body to send a fact finding committee to make findings and report back so that our discussions will not pre-empt

or pre-judge anybody involved in the matter.

“I will not comment on the report. The report is for the consideration of the appropriate party organ to take a decision,” Inuwa Abdul-Kadir stated.
