Senator representing Abia North Senatorial District, Orji Uzor Kalu, has said Anambra State Governor, Prof. Charles Soludo, will dump the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) for the All Progressives Congress (APC), adding that the Governor has no alternative.
He made the prediction on Tuesday in Abuja while addressing journalists at the National Assembly.
Over the weekend, Soludo was re-elected for a second term on the platform of APGA. .
He defeated APC’s Nicholas Ukachukwu and fourteen other gubernatorial candidates who participated in the closely watched off-cycle election.

However, speaking during the press briefing, Kalu argued that Soludo is a progressive, like himself and President Bola Tinubu.
He said, “I think after all the court cases, he is a progressive like myself, President Tinubu, and the Senate President.
“Soludo is a progressive. He will come to APC. In fact, it is confirmed that he will join APC. He has no other alternative.”
While reacting to reports that Alex Otti, the Governor of Abia and a member of the Labour Party, may also join the APC, the federal lawmaker insisted that nobody is coerced into joining the ruling party.
“Neither I nor other senators, the Senate President, or President Tinubu have ever forced anybody to join our party,” Kalu said.
