He went on to add that in a poll in which the electorate visits the polling booths, he will “win 70% of the votes” cast.”

He was reacting to growing criticism of President Tinubu’s administration across various digital spaces ahead of the upcoming polls.

Speaking during the interview, Sani said: “If the election is going to be conducted on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, or social media, Asiwaju will lose; but if it is people who will vote through the ballot at polling units, he is going to win 70% of the votes.”

Prior to Gov Sani’s claims, the Labour Party (LP) 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, had been touted by his supporters—popularly known as ‘Obidients’—as the Nigerian politician with the strongest social media presence both before and after the 2023 general elections.
