France international and Juventus midfielder, Paul Pogba, has decided to go into acting while serving his football ban.

The former Man United player was provisionally suspended by a tribunal of Italy’s national anti-doping organisation (NADO Italia) in September 2023, after testing positive for DHEA – a banned substance which naturally raises levels of testosterone.

The 31-year-old, who has a contract at Juventus until June 2026, after the verdict denied any wrongdoing.

Speaking via a statement he issued after the ban, Pogba said: “I am sad, shocked and heartbroken that everything I have built in my professional playing career has been taken away from me.”

However, it appears the Frenchman is making lemons out of lemonade and using his time off well.

According to ESPN, Pogba recently filmed scenes of a new movie he will feature in Paris, the French capital.

The movie is believed to be a sequel to a popular soccer film made in 2002, titled  “4 Zéros” and will see Pogba take on the role of a youth soccer coach.

It is, however, unclear how large the midfielder’s role in the film will be, but the movie is set to be released April 2025.
