Nollywood actor, Jim Iyke has sent tongues wagging online after posting a raw and unfiltered birthday tribute to fellow thespian, Kate Henshaw.
Speaking in a lengthy Instagram post shared on Sunday, Iyke opened up on his deep admiration and former romantic feelings for Henshaw, reminiscing on their early years in the Nigerian film industry.
He also recalled how she supported him in his struggling days, offering him food money, transport fare, and audition tips, yet “treated him like a younger brother,” despite his romantic interest.
“You knew all that time I wanted to hit that,” Jim Iyke wrote bluntly in the emotional post, laced with profanity and nostalgia.

He further reflected on how their relationship became strained over time as fame took its toll.
According to him, by the time he and Kate shared an intimate moment, he had become “too wild and restless” to nurture anything meaningful.
He also mentioned her later marriage and the birth of her child, describing it as “a union that ultimately ended in praise”.
With a mix of humor and honesty, the actor playfully blamed Kate for setting an unattainable beauty standard in the industry, stating that young women now “do too much” trying to replicate her looks.
