Nigerian Afrobeats singer and songwriter, Iyanya Onoyom Mbuk, simply known as Iyanya has revealed he had endorsed the controversial memoir written by his estranged Ghanaian girlfriend and actress, Yvonne Nelson, before knowing she mentioned him in the book.
The Ghanaian diva in the book titled, “I Am Not Yvonne Nelson.” dedicated a chapter, “Iyanya And My Love Life” to her ex-boyfriend, where she spoke about her escapades with him and how she later found out he cheated on her with Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh.
Speaking in a recent interview with The Beat 99.9 FM, Lagos, Iyanya admitted he endorsed the book without knowing the content.
The singer, who had earlier vowed to respond to Nelson’s allegations last year when the book came out, went on to say he is still not ready to address his ex-lover’s infidelity allegations.

He, however, said he is still in good terms with her and that they communicate regularly.
Iyanya said: “I endorsed Yvonne Nelson’s book without knowing I was in the book. We were cool, we still talk to this day, so I didn’t know that I was in the book. When the book came out, everywhere was buzzing. People were telling me I am in the book. But I have not read it till now.
“I know I promise to address the allegations she made in her book, but I’m not ready to respond. I’m not going to respond to stuff like that, being me comes with a lot of madness.”
