Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has explained what transpired between her colleagues, Funke Akindele and Toyin Abraham, during her recent event, claiming the latter violated a ‘peace condition’ established with the former.
She made this known recently in an Instagram post while addressing the concerns of followers following the incident.
On Sunday, Funke Akindele publicly snubbed fellow thespian and movie producer Toyin Abraham at Iyabo Ojo’s movie premiere.
The encounter elicited reactions from netizens, with many calling for Ojo to intervene in the long-standing rift.

However, while reacting to the appeals, Ojo—who claimed to have mediated between the duo in the past—revealed that the condition of their reconciliation was that ‘no one was to shade [the other] online if any issue arose.’ According to her, both actresses had promised to address any future grievances off-camera.
She went on to blame Toyin Abraham for violating this peace agreement.
‘Unfortunately, Toyin made some complaints about her movie in cinemas, claiming some people or a certain person was trying to sabotage her. Some fans pointed accusing fingers towards Funke, and that sparked a fresh beef.
‘I tried my very best to settle both of them; I cried, knelt down, and begged both parties to embrace peace, which they both later did. That was the reason you saw them interacting with one another a few months ago,’ she said.
Expressing her frustration over the ongoing rivalry, Ojo concluded: ‘I honestly don’t want to get involved anymore. Please, you all should respect that.’
