Ilebaye says she’ll pay N12m tithe from BBNaija 8 prize money

Ilebaye walked away with BBNaija All Stars season’s N120 million grand prize on October 1

Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) All Stars winner, Ilebaye Odiniya, popularly known as Baye, has confirmed she would be paying tithe from the prize money she won on the reality show. 

The reality star made this known while fielding questions from fans over the weekend on her social media page.

According to the 22-year-old, she would give N12 million to her church as tithe from the N120 million prize money she won from the eighth edition of the BBNaija reality show.

In her words, the gesture of giving part of the money to her church was her way of expressing gratitude to God for her victory.

Speaking during the chat, Ilebaye said: “Once the N120 million gets to my account, I won’t buy anything; I will give my tithe to God to thank him for the grace he gave me,”

Ilebaye, a Kogi State-born model walked away with Big Brother Naija All Stars season’s N120 million grand prize on October 1, after garnering 30.08% of votes cast by fans to beat other contestants.

She edged out five other finalists – Mercy, Adekunle, CeeC, Cross and Pere – to clinch the coveted status of the winner of this year’s edition.

Mercy Eke, who won the show in 2019 received the second-highest percentage of votes, 23.48%.

In third place was CeeC who received 23.41%, Adekunle came fourth with 12.61%, while Pere and Cross finished in the fifth and sixth places with 5.82% and 4.60% respectively.

Ilebaye who was the youngest contestant on the show was later presented with a cheque of N120 million and a brand-new car at the prize presentation ceremony.
