Former Deputy Speaker, House of House of Representatives and Imo State PDP Governorship flag bearer for the 2019 general elections, Chief Emeka Ihedioha, has described as, “fitting and most deserving”, the nomination of former Governor of Anambra State, Mr. Peter Obi, as the vice presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Ihedioha said in a statement on Monday by his media aide, Mr. Chibuike Onyeukwu, that, “The choice of Mr. Peter Obi, is no doubt, fitting and most deserving. I am certain that he will add a lot of value to the ticket. We are optimistic and indeed looking forward to working with him, to reposition and deliver the party in the general elections.
“I wish to assure of the unalloyed support of the good people of Imo State for His Excellency, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar GCON, Waziri Adamawa and indeed enjoin Nigerians at large to rally round him and our great party, PDP, in our quest to salvage our dear country.”
