The Police PRO disclosed that the visit and assessment of the scene will avail the security agencies with relevant first-hand information on the incident necessary for the rejigging operational strategy to come up with a robust action plan for the prevention of a reoccurrence.

TheNiche had reported how the spiralling security challenge facing Kaduna State took a turn for the worse on Monday, March 28 as a Kaduna-bound train from Abuja derailed after explosive devices planted on the rail track by terrorists exploded between the Dutse and Kakau areas of the State.

The attack was coming two days after the terrorists attacked Kaduna International Airport, killing a NAMA official.

The train was said to be conveying well over 900 people when the attack took place.

Ironically, the attack was taking place just at the same time the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, was addressing a press conference in Abuja claiming that Nigeria was becoming safer every day.
