Nigerian rapper and songwriter Panshak Henry Zamani, better known as Ice Prince, has reacted to the criticism that greeted his stage performance at the recently held All Progressives Congress (APC) national convention in Abuja.
He justified his actions while appearing as a guest on the latest episode of the Black Box podcast.
His explanation came after the tongue-lashing he received for honouring the event, with many Nigerians berating the artist for supporting a partisan occasion instead of speaking up and demanding accountability from the current administration.

Reacting to the backlash, Ice Prince explained that he performed at the APC convention because of his close relationship with one of the party’s executives.
According to him, the party’s National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, who booked him for the event, is actually his uncle.
Speaking during the interview, Ice Prince said: “Who booked me for that event? My uncle – Nentawe Yilwatda, who is the APC Chairman. He is not just a random person to me. He is my real uncle.”
