Ibori mourns ex-education minister, Gbagi

Ibori said goodbye to the 2023 governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party ( SDP) in Delta State via his Facebook page

Former Delta State Governor, James Ibori  has taken to social media to mourn the passing of former education minister and industrialist, Kenneth Gbagi.

TheNiche had earlier reported that Gbagi, who was the 2023 governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party ( SDP) in Delta State died on Saturday, May 4 at the age of 62.

Although details on the incident are still hazy at press time, his death was confirmed in a statement released by the family and signed by his eldest son, Emuoboh Gbagi,

It read: “It is with profound sadness but gratitude to God that we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather, husband, and brother.

“Orogun Kenneth Omemavwa Gbagi, former Minister of Education, departed this life on May 4 2024, at 62.”

Reacting to the news of the demise of the former minister, Ibori took to his Facebook page to bid him farewell.

Speaking via his verified social media handle, he wrote: “Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi. Abovwolovwolo. Atighoyowa. So long, May your soul rest in peace.”
